Widgets

What are they?

These can be found in the right-hand sidebar of the page builder screen of a store. Each widget represents a particular section of the page. There are different widget types, with more to come soon.

What are the different types of widgets?

Banner Module Strip

This is the more generic widget that we have to offer. Over half of the widgets used in pages at Noon are of this type. This allows the store to place 1 or more banners in the section.

The widget contains the following settings which are configurable -

  • Banners Per Row (Required) - The number of banner images you want to show per row. Minimum of 1, Maximum of 12 banners can be added in a single row. Ensure all banners have similar dimensions, because the banners will be equally spaced when they are added

  • Banner (Required) - Add 1 or more banners. Each banner has the following settings

    • Image (Required) - An image to be added. Supported filetypes are PNG, JPG, JPEG, gif. Maximum file size per image is 1MB

    • Link URL (Optional) - Where the customer will go to if they click on the banner. The URL can link to a different store created page, a generic set of products from your store, or to a particular product details page

    • Title Text (Optional) - A string of text that shows directly under the banner

    • Subtitle Text (Optional) - A string of text that shows directly under the title text. Has a smaller font size than title text

  • Background Color (Optional) - The background color of the banner. The color will not show up if the banner has no top/bottom spacing. The color will also not show up if there is a single banner, with no title/subtitle text

  • Module Header Title Text (Optional) - A string of text that shows above the banner, left-aligned

  • Title Text Color (Optional) - The color of the header title text

  • CTA Text (Optional) - The call-to-action text that shows up above the banner, right-aligned. Will not show up if there is no CTA URL

  • CTA URL (Optional) - Where the customer will go to if they click on the CTA button. The URL can link to a different store created page, a generic set of products from your store, or to a particular product details page

  • CTA Text Color (Optional) - The color of the call-to-action text, and the button border

  • CTA Background Color (Optional) - The color of the call-to-action button

Banner Module

This is almost exactly the same as the banner module strip widget, with one difference. On the mobile app, banners placed in the banner module widget have extra padding on the right and left hand side, whereas banners placed in the banner module strip widget touch the edges of the mobile screen.Screen_Shot_2020-11-03_at_11.42.50_PM.png

Product Carousel

This allows a store to showcase a set of products, and the customer can swipe between them horizontally. This widget is only supported in the static page type.

The widget contains the following settings which are configurable -

  • Product URL (Required) - The set of products that will be shown to the customer. Can be a URL manually entered in the text box, or can be set through the filters in the widget. The filters can be noon ones, or can be labels that a store creates Module Header Title Text (Optional) - A string of text that shows above the banner, left-aligned

  • Title Text Color (Optional) - The color of the header title text

  • CTA Text (Optional) - The call-to-action text that shows up above the banner, right-aligned. Will not show up if there is no CTA URL

  • CTA URL (Optional) - Where the customer will go to if they click on the CTA button. The URL can link to a different store created page, a generic set of products from your store, or to a particular product details page

  • CTA Text Color (Optional) - The color of the call-to-action text, and the button border

  • CTA Background Color (Optional) - The color of the call-to-action button

Text Links

This allows a store to add a list of call-to-action text buttons, horizontally placed.

The widget contains the following settings which are configurable -

  • Title Text (Optional) - A string of text that will show up above the links, center-aligned.

  • Subtitle Text (Optional) - A string of text that will show up between the title text, and the links, center-aligned.

  • Links (Required) - Add 1 or more links. Each link has the following settings.

    • Link Text (Required) - A string of text that will show up inside a square box

    • Link URL (Optional) - Where the customer will go to if they click the link text. The URL can link to a different store created page, a generic set of products from your store, or to a particular product details page

Product Listing

This allows a store to showcase a list of products that a customer can scroll through. This also includes support for in-built filters, that a customer can use to further refine their search. This widget is only supported in the catalog page type.
