Types of RTV Transfers:
1. Graded RTV:
A graded RTV transfer includes all items that were returned by customers, or undelivered to customers either because they cancelled their order, or because noon's delivery team couldn't locate the customer's address. After these returns go through quality check at noon’s warehouse, such items are either returned to the seller or restocked in the inventory based on their condition.
If any such returned items qualify as “good inventory and eligible for sale”, noon shall store such items at our warehouse to fulfill any subsequent customer orders. As for all non-saleable inventory, a grade is assigned to every returned item upon receipt of said item for which noon will compensate the seller according to the below table.
As part of the standard process, these items are also delivered back to sellers within a week from the completion of the quality check process. Learn more about the item grading & disputes process, and the returns, cancellation, and seller protection policy
Grade | Grade Description | Compensation |
A | Saleable and put back in stock | 0% |
B | Dead on arrival (for smart devices)/ manufacturing defect | 5% |
C | Accessory missing + box with dents | 15% |
D | Accessory missing + product with dents | 20% |
X | Logistics damages, product lost during return logistics | 100% |
- Graded RTV transfers appear on the RTV page on Seller Lab with a Graded Zone Code.
2. Stock RTV:
After you ship your products to noon fulfillment centers for fulfillment by noon (FBN); a transfer summary of the products received by noon including the quality check results will appear in the ASN of said transfer when its status becomes closed.
All products that were rejected or unidentified during the quality check will have to be collected by the seller from noon fulfillment centers. It's important to frequently check your RTV page so that you can organize your products collection accordingly. Please refer to the FBN Return to Vendor policy for further details and the fees that will apply.
Stock RTV transfers also represent FBN inventory that is returned back to the seller upon their request; or aged inventory (⩾ 180 days), which noon requested the seller to remove in order to avoid long-term storage fees.
Sellers can raise a request to remove aged items, certain items, or their entire stock by sending an e-mail to Seller Support. Upon receiving the seller's request to remove their FBN stock, noon will prepare the items for collection at our fulfillment centers. The seller should then collect, or request a delivery of their items from noon fulfillment centers within fifteen (15) business days. See FBN Stock Return to Vendor policy.
Note: There may be a difference between the quantity requested for turn by the
seller and the quantity that will be handed over to them in the event of customers
ordering items on the RTV list
- Stock RTV transfers appear on the RTV page on Seller Lab with a Stock Zone Code.
3. Return RTV:
It's important for sellers to accept all RTV transfers when delivered to their location by noon. If there are issues with the delivered items, sellers should accept the RTV, then raise a dispute within 14 days on Seller Lab to express their concern, and noon logistics will collect the items back from the seller.
Return RTV transfers constitute items that were rejected by the seller when returned back to them. This scenario isn't ideal as it by-passes the process, and could represent a challenge in addressing the seller's issues related to those items.
You can raise a dispute directly from the shipment page for Preship, Stock, and Return RTVs.
- Open the RTV to directly raise a dispute
- You can raise a dispute on item level if it's a Graded RTV
