Can I sell on noon if I'm not VAT-registered due to an annual turnover lower than the threshold?
Yes, of course. noon aims to support all local business with a valid trading license including those that haven't accumulated the annual turnover required to register for VAT in your country.
You'll just have to submit non-VAT declaration form upon registering to sell on noon. Once your annual turnover reaches the required threshold, you'll have to register for VAT and submit your VAT certificate to noon at [email protected].
Should my prices be inclusive of VAT?
Yes, your prices should always be inclusive of VAT whether you're VAT registered, or non-VAT registered. And here’s how the VAT is paid to the government accordingly:
- VAT registered sellers directly pay the VAT amounts to the government themselves.
- As for non VAT-registered sellers, noon will collect and pay the VAT to the government on their behalf as their sales are made under noon’s VAT TRN.
Am I liable to pay the VAT to the government if I'm not VAT-registered?
No, noon will collect and pay the VAT to the government on your behalf. So make sure that your prices are always inclusive of VAT.
Am I liable to pay VAT to the government as a VAT-registered seller?
All Vat registered sellers are liable to pay the VAT to the government. noon raises legal tax invoices to customers on the seller’s behalf which can be downloaded from the Statements tab of Seller Station. You can use these invoices to pay the VAT to the government.
Will the VAT apply on the noon fees and commissions?
Yes, the VAT value relevant to your country will apply on the noon fees and commissions as they represent the charge of the service that noon sells to you.
Will I be provided an invoice of the fees & commissions that I will be charged?
Yes, you’ll be provided a "noon fee" tax invoice for all fees & commissions that get deducted from you. You can access them via Seller Station in the Statements tab under the noon fees page. You can use the noon fee tax invoices to claim your input VAT from the government.
Are noon fees and commissions inclusive of VAT?
No, noon fees are exclusive of VAT, so you must calculate the VAT value of the fees and commissions and add it to your price.
