The order fulfillment and processing are crucial factors for our Direct Ship sellers. We have streamlined the process and introduced a web version for order fulfillment, which enables the sellers to efficiently fulfill and handover shipments to noon to deliver them to the customer.
In this article, we will go through the following topics:
Requirement to start using the web version
How to switch to the web version?
How to fulfill an order using the web version?
How to create a manifest and handover the shipments?
Common errors encountered during order fulfillment
Requirement to start using the web version.
In order to start using the web version we suggest the seller to have the following infrastructure in place for smoothly order fulfillment.
- 2D barcode scanner.
You need a 2D barcode scanner because a 1D barcode scanner cannot scan the QR codes of the AWB number.
Note: You can also type the AWB number directly for shipment creation if you
do not have a 2D scanner.
How to switch to the web version?
In order to switch to the web version for fulfilling your Direct Ship orders you can follow these simple steps:
- Click on Fulfilled by Partner and the click on Warehouse. Now select the warehouse in which you want to fulfill the order with the web version option.
- Now click on Edit in the Order fulfillment and Handover Types section and select Web in the drop-down for the platform option. Then click Save Settings to enable the warehouse on the web version.
Note: Some important points to remember with the web version option
1. The seller can enable their warehouse either on web or on the mobile version
of order fulfillment but not on both.
2. This feature is only applicable for Direct Ship orders only. For Direct Ship
picklist model the sellers need to get in touch with the seller support team
for further assistance.
- You can confirm whether the Warehouse is updated to web version by just checking the Web tag shown next to the warehouse name under the Direct Ship tab.
How to fulfill an order using the web version?
The order fulfillment for Direct Ship orders using the web version can be done easily by just following these simple steps
- Under Fulfilled by Partner click on Directship. You will find the Pending tab and you can click on Create Shipment button next to each order to start processing the order.
- A pop-up appears on the screen where you can enter the AWB (either scan the AWB or enter it manually). Once the AWB is scanned click on Update button. This creates the shipment for the specific order.
Note: You can process all the item in one shipment or split it in different
shipment by selecting the items in this pop-up.
Once the shipment is created the order status changes from Pending to Shipment Generated.
How to create a manifest and handover the shipments?
Once the shipments are created the next step is to handover the shipments to noon. Depending on your preference either the item will be collected by noon agent from your warehouse or you will drop-off the shipments using your own logistics at a noon fulfillment center.
You can follow these simple steps to create the manifest to handover the shipment.
- Under the Pending tab in the Direct Ship section you will find a Manifestation button. Click on this button. This will redirect you to a page with all the previously created manifests.
Note: The manifest button will be activated only when at least one shipment is
created.
- In the next page you will find an option of Create Manifest on the top left corner. Clicking this button will open a pop-up requesting you to enter the number of shipment you will handover. Once you enter the number click on Save Changes. This will create a manifest.
- Under the Manifestation tab you will find the details of new manifest and there will be a button Print QR Code. Clicking this button will open a pop-up showing the manifest details and QR code.
Note: You can show this QR code to the noon agent who comes to collect your
shipment or take a print out and present to the noon warehouse team if you
are dropping off the item using your own logistics.
You can also edit the number of shipment by just clicking on Edit button and in the pop-up enter the correct number of shipment that you are handing over and then click on Save Changes. This will update the number of shipments.
Common errors encountered during order fulfillment
Whilst processing the order and fulfilling them you might come across some errors which might hinder the order fulfillment flow. Listed below are some common error that you might encounter and also the steps to solve those issues.
1. Direct Ship picklist orders.
The web version is only applicable for orders that are under the Direct Ship model only. If you try to process the order under Direct Ship picklist tab using the web version you might come across some errors.
How to fix this error?
You need to get in touch with the seller support team by dropping an email at seller@noon.com. This request will be forwarded to our support team and they shall then move the warehouse from picklist to regular Direct Ship flow. Then you can use the web version to fulfill the orders.
2. Unverified contact detail in warehouse settings.
The other issue you might notice is unverified phone number or email ID used for warehouse creation. Though the warehouse is created you won't be able to edit any details in the Warehouse settings.
How to fix this error?
You can go to the warehouse setting and get the phone number and email ID verified with the help of an OTP. You can refer to warehouse creation article to know more about how to verify the contact details.
Once the details are verified you can edit your order fulfillment and handover preference.
That’s it!
