A very important step to start selling on noon is Adding a Warehouse. If you have a warehouse added it helps you to easily update your stock and take your products live on noon.com. This article helps you with a step-by- step procedure to be followed to create the warehouse.
With this new flow of warehouse creation, the system will review all the details you provide and promptly activate the warehouse, if all the details you have provided are complete and accepted by the system.
Lets discuss in detail, how you can create a warehouse on the Seller Lab.
To start creating a warehouse, click on Fulfilled by Partner and click on Warehouse.
Now click on the Add New Warehouse.
Next, you will be directed to the page to fill in essential details. Provide Your Warehouse Name, select the Country, and choose the warehouse type (either Warehouse or Facility - Office Location). Now click Create Warehouse to proceed.
After successfully creating your warehouse, a green success message will appear on the top-right corner of the screen. However, to activate the warehouse, you need to fill all mandatory fields.
Under the Address and Contact Information click on Edit button to continue.
First, you will be asked to select the pin location of your warehouse location on the map. Then, fill in the address line with specific details like the building name or nearby landmarks. Additionally, you will be asked to provide the Contact Details of the person associated with the warehouse.
Note: The phone number and email ID will be verified with an OTP when you enter
the details for the first time.
Once all the details are filled and verified you will see the page as shown below. Now click on Save settings.
This will take you back to the warehouse settings page where you need to fill in the Order Fulfillment and Handover types. Click on the Edit button to proceed.
On the following page, you can set-up your Order Fulfillment and Hanover settings. You can update the platform either Web or Mobile version. You can update your Manifest-type. You can also update the Handover Type either Pick-up (noon driver collects items from your warehouse) or Drop-off (you deliver packed shipments to a selected noon hub). For drop-off, select a hub from the list provided.
Note: If your location is not serviceable, the default handover type will
be drop-off. You will need to select a drop-off location from the dropdown list.
Click Save Settings once you've made your selection.
In the final step, you will be required to provide the details for the Holidays and Work Hours section. To proceed, click on the Edit button.
On the next page, you will need to select the processing time for handing over shipments to noon. Simply choose a timeframe that works best for you. Once you have made your selection, click on Save Settings to proceed.
Your warehouse status will change to Active if all the details you have provided are valid and the location is serviceable by noon.
Once the warehouse is active you can now use the warehouse to update you stock details.
What action can you take after Warehouse creation?
After creating the warehouse, you will find two action buttons on the top right corner of the screen.
- Reset Processing Time: This button allows you to reset the processing time for the entire catalog to the default processing time associated with the selected warehouse.
- Deactivate Warehouse: By clicking this button, you can temporarily deactivate the warehouse, which will result in the SKUs going offline.
Understanding Warehouse Statuses
There are different warehouse statuses, which can be divided into two categories: seller-controlled and noon-controlled. These statuses reflect the current state of the warehouse and are essential for its management.
Status | Controlled by |
Explanation |
Incomplete | Controllable by seller | The warehouse cannot be activated until the seller provides all the required details. The seller must ensure that all the necessary information is provided to activate the warehouse. |
Active | The mandatory requirements have been updated and the Warehouse is active
Inactive | The seller has the ability to temporarily deactivate the warehouse from their end. When a warehouse is deactivated by the seller, its status will be changed to inactive.
De-activated by noon | Controllable by noon | In the event of performance breaches by the seller, noon reserves the right to deactivate the warehouse. To request reactivation, the seller must contact seller@noon.com via email. |
Pending Approval |
If the warehouse has been deactivated by noon, it will require manual approval from noon. Also any new warehouse created by the seller will need manual approval from noon. |
